Over this last weekend, Machu Picchu re-opened to the public. Whilst the “official” re-opening is not scheduled until Wednesday, 15th of February, a few lucky tourists who had made it to Machu Picchu town, managed to get in for a sneak preview and were rewarded for their patience, with a unique and utterly exclusive "pre-opening". We are confident this marks the start of a return to yet another “new normal” but, when planning trips to Peru, we are encouraging adding an extra day into any itinerary, just in case.
