Experience one of the most biodiverse places in the world with this luxury tour of the Galapagos Islands
Forget everything you think that you know about the Ecuadorian archipelago; this unique, island-hopping tour allows you to experience ‘a different Galapagos, away from the crowds’. The Galapagos Islands are home to some of the highest levels of species not found anywhere else in the world, and travelers can experience every side of the unique culture, landscape, and wildlife found there by booking this exclusive tour with Touring Galapagos. With our ‘Galapagos Island Hopping Tour’, you can now visit one of the world’s most biodiverse countries with a 7-day trip that puts luxury at the heart of the itinerary.
Beginning on San Cristobal, the tour begins with an exclusive tour of Frigate Hill. You’ll follow the natural lava rock trails with your guide, who will point out the array of bird and plant life that live here, and finish the hike with an interesting talk on the unique history, geography and wildlife of the area. The tour also explores the marine biodiversity that surrounds the Galapagos Islands with a trip to Kicker Rock off the coast of San Cristobel for a snorkelling expedition. Visiting a secret fishing spot, a local instructor will teach you the traditional Galapagueños way to catch your lunch before helping prepare sashimi or ceviche with your catch. The next island you visit is Isabela Island; the largest in the archipelago and one of the most active volcanic locations in the world.
Exploring the Tintoreras channels, you’ll see Galapagos penguins and other rare marine life before trekking through the pink flamingo-inhabited Manzanillo forest to the island’s Giant Tortoise Center. You’ll discover the ‘Sierra Negra’ Volcano with a hike around the rim of a breathtaking caldera that offers stunning views of the rest of the island as well as the naturally formed volcanic crater. After an exclusive lunch of feral pig (depending on availability), you’ll learn more about local life and how the inhabitants of the Galapagos live in harmony with their surroundings with a trip to a nearby farm.
Instead of huge crowds, generic sightseeing and an impersonal experience of the islands, Touring Galapagos offers an alternative experience that will open your eyes to many of the conservation efforts in place in this biodiverse haven. As well as unique tours and insight from local guides, you’ll also enjoy luxury accommodation across the islands and plenty of chances to sample gourmet food and relax with your travel companions.
Ecuador's recently appointed new Ministry of Tourism has announced that a valid COVID vaccination certificate is now sufficient to travel to Galapagos: this means no more mandatory PCR test to get to Ecuador nor Galapagos.
